transmission mechanism
Capstan drive belt off of
Place belt in position
driving position
Motor bushing slipping
Tighten mounting screw
on motor shaft 6
Oil adhering to motor bushing Wipe off oil with cotton swab
and/or flywheel soaked in alcohol
Motor bushing slipping on
motor shaft
Tighten mounting screw
Trouble with power

transmission mechanism
Oil adhering to motor ; :
bushing and/or flywheel MS OrEey
Capstan bushing slipping
Tighten capstan mounting screw
on flywheel shaft
Excessive tension in Take-up/
Supply reel table assembly
Readjust tension
Oil adhering to capstan
Wipe off oil
and/or pinch wheel
Insufficient pinch Check and re-adjust pinch
wheel pressure wheel pressure
; Check take-up reel shaft assembly
reel does not take-up tape. due to lack of oil
Take-up idler wheel Check idler wheel
does not rotate properly Replace if necessary
Oil adhering to idler wheel
and roller on take-up — Wipe off oil
reel shaft assembly
Take-up idler wheel does Check idler tension spring
not keep good contact Replace spring if necessary
