<Adjustment of the head position>
a) Perform the thermal head test or make whole black
copy by placing the black original.
if the thermal head is placed on correct position, the
print on the recording paper will be uniformly black.
b) If the print on the recording paper is poor, loosen
two screws securing the thermal head and slide the
thermal head by 0.2mm ~ 0.3mm, then tighten the
screws,
c) Repeat the test as described step a) and b) above
untill reaching the correct position.
Notice that the thermal
head
movement
range
which is accepted for the black contrast is about
0.3mm.
(3) Replacement
of the Automatic
Document
Feeder
(ADF) unit
a) Open the operation panel.
b) Remove two screws securing the ADF unit. (Fig. 6-
13)

c) Replace to a new ADF unit and check it out of the
performance.
