USE ONLY WITH 3300/33C CABLES (THIS KIT MAY NOT FIT OTHER CABLES)
CAUTION
After the control cables have been placed in the boat
from the control to the engine, it is important to
position the cl amp nearest t he motor cor rectly. A
minimum of 32 inches (813mm) or a maximum of 42
i nches {1067mm) should be maintained bet ween the
clamp and the engine, creating enough c able slack to
permit turning of the motor without binding in all
normal and tilted p ositions. See figure 1.
NOTE
Never clamp the cables in a position that will cause kinks
or sharp bends to be formed in the cables.

N OTE
CABLES ARE LOOPED
1. Remove the jam nut, rod seal and hub seal from the
end of the cable. Discard the hub seal ONLY. See
figure 2.
2. Slide the adapter over the end of the cable until the
center clip position aligns with the groove in the
cable hub. Insert the clip thru the adapter, but DO
NOT BEND THE EXTENDED TAB AT THIS TIME.
3. Place the rod seal and jam nut back onto the cable
rod end approximately 9/16 inch. DO NOT TIGHTEN
THE JAM NUT AT THIS TIME.
