Always follow these safety guidelines. Failure to do so may
result in electric shock, fire and/or serious injury.
Product Description
This electric weed burner + BBQ lighter is intended for
household use only. It is not intended for commercial use.
It is designed for removing of weeds between paving slabs,
paved surfaces, walls, and in lawns and flower beds.
In addition, the device may also be used to light charcoal
for barbecues. Always follow the instructions and warnings
stipulated by the barbecue manufacturer.

This tool is not intended for use by children
or by unassisted, unsupervised persons whose physical,
sensory or mental capabilities prevent them from using it
safely. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do
not play with the tool.
Before starting up your tool, please check it carefully for any
defects. If you find any, do not start up your tool. Contact your

WARNING!
When using the power tool, basic safety
precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of
fire, electric shock, and personal injury. These include:
• Know your product – Know how to start and stop the
tool. Be thoroughly familiar with the controls and ensure
they are functioning properly.
• Use the right tool – Do not use this tool for any job
except that for which it was intended.
• Hot surfaces – Wear gloves and avoid contact with
any hot surfaces. Do not allow hot surfaces to touch
flammable materials. Always set it down on the kick stand.

• Avoid unintentional starting – Do not carry a plugged-in
tool with your hand on the switch. Make sure the switch is
off before plugging in the tool.
• Burning hazard – Ensure that the nozzle of the burner
+ lighter is not blocked, and is pointed down and away
from yourself before turning it on. Never point the tool at
yourself, others, the power cord or flammable materials.
• Do not force the tool – It will perform better with less
likelihood of personal or mechanical injury if it is used at
the rate for which it was designed.
• Do not run – Never run while operating the tool.
• Avoid slipping – Maintain proper footing and balance
at all times to avoid slipping or falling. Wear non-slip
footwear to improve your footing on slippery surfaces.
• Avoid water - Do not expose the burner + lighter to rain,
damp or wet conditions. Do not immerse in water. Water
entering the unit will increase the risk of electric shock.
• Stay alert – Watch what you are doing. Use common
sense. Do not operate the burner + lighter when you are
tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol, or other
medication.
• Unplug the tool – Unplug the burner + lighter when it is
not in use, before servicing, and when performing any
other maintenance task. Never leave the tool unattended
while switched on. In the event of an accident or
breakdown, switch off the tool immediately.
• Noise and vibrations – If the burner + lighter should
start to vibrate abnormally, stop the tool and inspect it
thoroughly for damage.

• Inspect the tool – Visually inspect the tool for any loose
fasteners or blocked vents.
• Use with care – A fire may arise if the tool is not used
with care. Avoid dropping or subjecting it to strong
impacts or sharp objects. Take the tool away from burning
charcoal once lit.
• Overheating – Do not apply heat on one area for more
than 3 - 5 minutes at a time. Allow the burner + lighter to
cool for 15 minutes after 15 minutes of continuous use.
• Storage – Do not store or leave the tool outdoors.
• Lighting charcoal – Maintain a distance of around 1 in.
(2.5 cm) between the tool and the charcoal.
