SILENT SERVO
circuit
Since the clock frequency is not needed after tuning has been
completed, this circuit cuts it out, thereby improving sound
quality by avoiding the noise and intermodulation distortion
that could
be caused
by spurious
high frequency
"beat"
interference.
AM SERVO
circuit
This dramatically reduces distortion by actively adjusting AGC
(automatic gain control) response time during and after tuning.

6) Stereo amplifier
© Connecting the power cord
Plug the power cord into (SWITCHED) the auxiliary power
outlet on the amplifier or into an AC wall socket.
@ Antenna ground
Although grounding is not always necessary for reception,
it is recommended
for protection against damage from
lightning if an outdoor FM antenna is used. Grounding is
recommended
as well to help reduce noise and hum.
NOTE:
Never make the ground connection to a gas pipe as sparks
could cause the gas to ignite.
