-L.E.D METER
TO CHECK BATTERY VOLTAGE
When the L.E.D meter function switch is set to the "LEVEL" during
recording, the recording level is indicated by the flashing of the 7
L.E.Ds.
* The recording level is adjusted automatically.

The audio level is indicated by the flashing of the 7 L.E.Ds with the
L.E.D meter function switch changed over to the "LEVEL"
during
reception of RADIO/TV broadcasts or during playback of TAPE.
* The position of the volume control has no relation with this level.
TO TURNING OFF THE L.E.Ds
Change over the L.E.D meter function switch to OFF, and all L.E.Ds
go out.

This is convenient for using batteries economically or for using the
unit in a dark place.
* All 7 L.E.Ds may not light or they may be unstable even if they
light in a place with a weak signal such as a place far away from
the broadcasting station or in a concrete building. On the other
hand, all 7 L.E.Ds may light in a place with a strong signal such as
a place near the broadcasting station.
