IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

If this is your first time using the Aqua-Dry Digital Kitchen Scale please be sure to remove the protective insulation tape from the battery compartment and protective sheet
from the display before use..

LOW BATTERY INDICATOR

1. If the battery symbol appears on the display, it is recommended to replace with new batteries to ensure optimum accuracy of the scale.
2. If the display shows 'Lo' and shuts off automatically, please replace the batteries immediately.

TO INSTALL / CHANGE BATTERIES

Warning: batteries may pose a choking hazard. Do not let children handle batteries.
This item uses three AAA 1.5V batteries. In order to ensure proper performance, be sure to replace batteries as a simultaneous set. Batteries should be removed from the scale
if consumed or if the product is to be left unused for duration of time. It is recommended to clean all battery contacts prior to installation. Do not mix old and new batteries.
Do not mix alkaline, standard (Carbon-Zinc), or rechargeable (Nickel Cadmium) batteries.
Always purchase the correct size and grade of battery most suitable for the intended use.
Replace all batteries of a set at the same time.
Ensure all batteries are installed correctly with regard to polarity (+ and -).
Remove used batteries promptly.
1. Battery door is located on the back of the unit.
2. Push open the battery cover
3. Insert three AAA size batteries. Please ensure correct polarity of the batteries (+/-)
4. Replace battery door to secure cover in place.

DISPOSAL OF USED BATTERY:

Batteries may contain hazardous substances which could endanger the environment and human health.
This symbol marked on the battery and/or packaging indicates that used battery shall not be treated as municipal waste. Instead it shall be left at the appropriate
collection point for recycling.
By ensuring the used batteries are disposed of correctly, you will help prevent potential negative consequences for the environment and human health. The recycling of
materials will help conserve natural resources.
For more information about collection and recycling of used batteries, please contact your local municipality, your waste disposal service or the point of sale where you
purchased this product.

TO TURN THE SCALE ON/OFF:

Place item on a flat surface before use.
1. Press the ON/OFF button to turn scale ON. After a few seconds a 0:00 (for lb & oz) or 0 (for g/ml) or 0.00 (for fl:oz) will appear.
The scale is ready to use.
2. Press and hold the button ON/OFF for a few seconds to turn scale OFF.
Note: The auto shut-off feature will turn the scale off if not used for 150-seconds.
TO SWITCH BETWEEN WEIGHT & VOLUME:
With the scale on, press the UNIT button at any time to switch between reading in imperial (pounds/ounces) and metric (grams) or fl:oz (water-based) and ml (water-based).

CAPACITY:

22.0 lb. / 10000 g / 352 fl:oz / 10 l. (displays in 0.125oz. / 1gram / 0.02fl.oz / 1ml increments).

HOW TO USE TARE (additive weighing) FEATURE:

1. Place first item on scale, scale will display weight of item.
2. Tap ON/OFF button. Display will revert to "0" (for g) or "00" (for lb. and oz.) or 0 (for g or ml) or 0.00 (for fl:oz).
3. Place second item on scale, scale will display weight of item.
4. Tap ON/OFF button. Display will revert to "0" (for g) or "00" (for lb. and oz.) or 0 (for g or ml) or 0.00 (for fl:oz).
5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 until all items have been weighed.
NOTE: there are two ways to set the scale at "0" when weighing items in a container.
1. Place the container on the scale before turning it ON.
2. If the scale is already ON, place the container on the scale and tap the ON/OFF button which will revert the scale to "0" (for g) or "00" (for lb. and oz.) or 0 (for g or ml) or
0.00 (for fl:oz).
NOTE: the scale will read "o-Ld" if weight on scale is above the scale's capacity of 22.0 lb. / 10000 g / 352 fl:oz / 10 l.
