Data logger, RS485 signal SPD, PID module and inductor, optical fiber terminal box, PLC module, SPD, etc. can be installed in the cabinet to realize the communication and control of PV array.

    Smart Communication Box KM-ACU 3 Installation User Manual Tools The installation tools need to be insulated to avoid electric shock.  Multimeter range≥1500Vdc.  Wrench specification: T30. 3.3 Selection of Installation Site 3.3.1 Installation Environment The use environment has a certain influence on the service life and reliability of the smart communication box.

    Smart Communication Box KM-ACU User Manual 3 Installation Figure3-2 Installation environment requirements Select the best installation location for the smart communication box, which plays a very important role in its safe operation, service life, performance guarantee, etc. Therefore, it is recommended to select a place that can avoid direct sunlight, rain, and snow.

    Smart Communication Box KM-ACU 3 Installation User Manual Figure3-4 Installation clearance(Unit: mm) 3.4 Transporting, Unpacking and Checking 3.4.1 Transporting The smart communication box should be handled to the installation site by trained professionals(At least two person).  When handling equipment, move it carefully to avoid impact or fall.

If there is any discrepancy, take notes and contact the distributor immediately. After unpacking, if the smart communication box will be stored for a long time, it's recommended to pack the equipment with original plastic package.

Figure3-6 Mark the mounting holes position You can also directly mark the location of the holes according to the size of the mounting holes (See Figure3-7).

Step 6 Use the screws M5*50 in the accessories to fix the smart communication box, as shown in Figure3-11.
  • Page 29 Smart Communication Box KM-ACU User Manual 3 Installation Wall installation Step 1 Use the four M4*10 combination bolts in accessories to fix the installation holder with the joint lever, as shown in Figure3-12. Figure3-12 Assemble installation holder Step 2 Place the assembled installation holder onto the installation site, use a horizontal ruler to adjust the angle, and mark the position of the hole on the wall, as shown in Figure3-13.

Drilling hole size is Φ14.5mm, depth range is 55~60mm. Figure3-15 Drilling holes After drilling, please clean the residues in the holes, and measure the depth of each hole to ensure that the depth of each hole is the same.

Fix the installation holder to the expansion bolts, put on flat washers, spring washers and nuts, and then tighten the nuts clockwise with a wrench, as shown in Figure3-17.

Step 7 Use the screws M5*50 in the accessories to fix the smart communication box, as shown in Figure3-19.

    Smart Communication Box KM-ACU User Manual 3 Installation 3.5.2 Floor-mounted Installation The smart communication box can be installed in the foundation by the embedded anchor bolts. Step 1 Build the foundation based on the mounting hole size of smart communication box, as shown in Figure3-20.

Step 2 Draw the single-phase AC 220V power wire through the nylon cable gland, strip the insulation layer of the single-phase AC 220V power wire by wire stripper and crimp it to the terminal by wire crimper, and then connect it with the single-phase input switch, as shown in Figure3-25.

Ethernet switch: In default, IP is 192.168.1.254 and the subnet mask is 255.255.255.0. Ethernet switch, PLC module, PID module, DI module, DO module, AI module are optional. If it doesn't configure, ignore the corresponding debugging step.
