Description Body Assembly Frying Pan Piezo Ignition Control Knob Before starting Here are a few tips to help you assemble your barbecue quickly and successfully: • A qualified installer should be called in to install the appliance and, if necessary, to convert it for use with other gases. • Check that no parts are missing by placing all of the individual parts on an empty surface (we reserve the right to make minor technical alterations, such as the content of the small parts bag). • If, despite careful factory checks, a component should be missing, please contact our customer service department (see last page). We will immediately attend to your request.

    GAS BABRBECUE WARNINGS • This appliance is configured to work with low pressure propane & butane liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). Do not use natural gas supply. • Only cover the appliance when it has completely cooled off. • Never use charcoal or other solid fuels in this appliance. • Do not use the barbecue as a stove with pots and pans. • Do not use the barbecue as a heating appliance. • Do not use the barbecue to heat materials and substances other than barbecue food. • The barbecue must not be used if the connections for the gas supply are porous or de- fective. • If the barbecue is not being used for a prolonged period, cut off the supply from the gas cylinder and store properly: 1. Fit the gas cylinder valve with a cap nut and safety cap. 2. Do not store the gas cylinder in rooms below ground level, in or near stairways, hallways or passages and thoroughfares between buildings. 3. Always store gas cylinder upright, even if they are empty! • Do not replace the standard plancha with the self-made plancha. • Do not install the oil collector when using with the plancha. • If the flame is yellowed, check if any insect or article penetrated the burners; and such articles must be removed from the burners.     • Do not allow cylinder to be filled beyond 80% capacity. Over-filled cylinder can create a dangerous condition due to build-up pressure and cause the valve to expel propane gas vapours. The vapour is combustible and if it comes in contact with a spark source or flame an explosion causing severe burns, bodily harm, or death could occur. • Always use a protective cylinder cap when appliance is not connected to the cylinder. Gas connections WARNING! Be aware of flashback! Make sure there is no debris, spiders, small insects or webs inside the head of the gas cylinder, pressure regulator, burner(s), burner tube(s) or hose, before any connection is made. They can obstruct the gas flow, which could result in a fire in and around the burner tube. This kind of fire is known as “flash-back” and can cause serious damages. Check and clean (→ CLEANING, MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR) all the parts of the appliance before assembling it, to reduce the chance of its occurrence. Mounting / dismounting the gas cylinder Parts and tools needed • 17 mm spanner (open-ended spanner SW 17) • Gas cylinder A common camping gas cylinder with a fill weight of 5 kg and 11 kg (e.g. green Propane Gas cylinder). These are availa- ble at DIY shops or liquid gas suppliers. • Pressure regulator Preset and -approved pressure regulator, max. 1.5 kg/h, operating pressure 50 mbar suitable for the gas cylinder used. This type of pressure reducer is also available from your local dealer. • Leak detector You can locate any leaks in the gas system using a leak detector. This can be purchased at DIY shops or liquid gas sup- pliers. Please follow the operating instructions of the leak detector. The following part is included in delivery. It corresponds to the standards applicable in the country. • Gas hose -approved hose of sufficient length, allowing installation without any kinks.

    WARNING! Risk of explosion! Always ignite the burner(s) within 5 seconds after turning the control knob to a position in between OFF and HI. Gas can collect inside the appliance causing an explosion on ignition. WARNING! Turn all the control knobs to the off positions OFF, if any burner does not ignite within 5 seconds. Wait for 5 minutes to let the gas dissipate and try again. WARNING! If any burner still does not ignite after a few tries, it could indicate a problem with the gas supply. Turn the gas supply off on the appliance as well as on the gas cylinder or the pressure regulator. Do not use the appliance until the cause of the problem has been found (→ TROUBLESHOOTING).

Always switch the appliance off and let it cool down before performing inspection, maintenance and cleaning work! Do not immerse burner(s) into water or other liquids. If they become wet, let them dry thoroughly and check the function afterwards. CLEANING BARBECUE To ensure your barbecue serves you well for many years to come, it should be cleaned after each use with washing-up liquid, a brush and a cloth - ensure that all parts have cooled down first. It will be much harder to do this later, once the dirt has dried. Caution “Spark plug on burner may deform” The spark plug on the burner may deform or snap off during cleaning. Possible consequences: • Burner no longer ignites.
