10 External inputs/outputs I/O 1: Start signal The external start signal triggers cleaning by a higher-level control unit. I/O 2: End-of-tape/failure This output is set simultaneously with the status LED indicating an end-of-tape or failure state. I/O 3: Cleaning finished/ready If auto-stop mode is active, the Cleaning finished- or ready-signal is set at this output once the stipulated tape length has been unwound.
11.1 Setting the feed length Dipswitches S1-1/2/3/4 set the feed length of the tape. The minimum feed length is 3.5 mm and is multiplied by the binary multiplier. Switch position Tape length 3.5 mm 7 mm 10.5 mm 14 mm 17.5 mm 21 mm Switch position...
11.2 Operating mode The operating mode is selected using dipswitches S1-5 and S1-6. S1-5 selects how the cleaning process is to be initiated and S1-6 selects when the tape will stop. S1-5 selects how to initiate the cleaning process. Started by an external signal Cleaning is started as soon as the external signal (+24 V) is applied.
11.3 Failures The hold-on-error function is switched on and off by dipswitch S1-7. Hold-on-error function When an error occurs, the status LED is constantly on and activated cleaning is interrupted. Cleaning can only restart once the failure LED has been reset. The error is reset by pressing switch A.
11.4 Constant tape speed The control function for a constant tape speed across the entire tape length is switched on and off by S1-8, S1-9 selects the speed. S1-8 (de-)activates the function. Control function active The tape speed is kept constant regardless of the current reel diameter.
I/O3 Cleaning finished <-> Ready The timing for the output Cleaning finished/Ready to be set can be selected with dip switch S1-10. In gate mode this output has no function (chapter 11.2). Cleaning finished I/O 3 is set when the tape feed length is reached. S1-10 on Ready I/O 3 is set when the tape feed length is reached and the push...
12 Changing the tape 1. At the end of the tape reel the status LED lights up (C). 2. Remove the magnetic side cover. 3. Remove the empty center reel. 4. Remove the soiled tape. 5. Remove the Center ring for reuse or order a new center. Center rings must possess a hole for the pin.
