■ PROBLEM

■ THE MACHINE LEAKS OR
OVERFLOWS
# Too much washing powder
# Unsuitable washing powder
# The inlet hose ring is loose
# The detergent dispenser
drawer or recess are clogged
# The end of the drain hose is
not securely positioned
► Reduce the quantities of
washing powder
► Only use washing powder
suitable for automatic machines
► Tighten the ring (see page 8)
► Clean the drawer and recess
(see page 23)
► Position the drain hose correctly
■ THE MACHINE VIBRATES
OR IS NOISY
• The internal packing has not
been removed
• The machine is not level
• The machine is in contact
with the wall or furniture
• Washing load badly
distributed
• The machine is overloaded
► Remove internal packing (see
P- 7)
► Adjust the feet (see page 10)
► Move the machine; it should
rest freely on its feet
► Remember to shake out large
items (e.g. sheets) when
loading
► Run the draining programme
(N), reduce the load and
continue
■ THE DOOR DOES NOT OPEN 9 The safety device has locked
it (door pilot light on)
# Water in the wash tub
. Wait 1 - 2 minutes after the

opening the door (door pilot
light off)
► Drain the water by running the
draining programme (N)

should ensure that the above
checks have been made as the
engineer will make a charge if
the fault is not a mechanical or
electrical breakdown.
