Selecting the Audio emphasis
When playing CDs, tapes, or radio programs, use the
MEGA BASS button, SOUND button , or the SURROUND
(CFD- 610 only) button to adjust the audio emphasis of the
sound you are listening to.

To choose the sound characteristic
Press SOUND on the deck or on the remote commander to
select the audio emphasis you want.
Choose one of the following options:
== Light, bright sounds emphasizing high
ee an Sand middle range audio
an ae an ae a
= == Powerful, clean sounds, emphasizing low
ee ee aan high range audio
an a oe as a
= Percussive sounds, emphasizing bass
on audio
= a me oe
os The presence of vocals, stressing middle
pan — ome range audio
Normal mode
(no indication)
The whole dynamic range for music such
as classical music
To reinforce the bass sound
Press MEGA BASS on the deck or on the remote
commander.
The "MEGA BASS" indication appears in the display
window.
To resume normal sound, press MEGA BASS again.
a Setting Up
(CFD-610 only) To get the surround effect
Press SURROUND on the deck.
The "SURROUND" indication appears in the display
window.
You can get the surround effect without connecting
surround speakers.
To mute the sound
Press MUTE on the remote commander to extinguish the
sound instantly; press again to resume sound. During mute,
the volume indication in the display window flashes.
