Network and Power Considerations
This device uses an Ethernet or WiFi network
connection and can be powered using PoE, AC, or
DC.
NOTE: It is recommended to use Ethernet
rather than WiFi for the best network
connectivity. See the Door Station - Exterior
Setup Guide for wiring installation details.
Mounting Tips
Follow these tips for best results.
1
Install the Door Station in a place where it will be
protected from water (such as rain, sprinklers,
and so on).
2
Do not expose the Door Station to direct
sunlight. For installations in direct sunlight, the
Satin Nickel model (C4-DCS-EN-SN) will yield the
least amount of color fading.
3
Find an appropriate exterior location for the
Door Station. Also see the Door Station - Exterior
Setup Guide for back box placement.
