UNPACKING THE SPEAKER
1. Remove the top plywood and pad asembly.
2. Remove the two cardboard corner pads from back of cabinet.
3. Carefully lift up and remove the front plywood piece with grille
attached. Hold the cabinet toward back of carton to avoid
catching the foam pads on the trim stip. (see figure)
4. Lay the speaker (in carton) on its back. Open the bottom of
the carton and fold all four carton flaps out. lt will be necessary to
lift the bottom of the carton off the floor to fold the bottom flap out.
5. Remove the bottom plywood and pad assembly.
6. Stand the speaker upright and lift the carton off the speaker.
7. Remove the plastic bag and the orange tweeter protector cap.
INSTALLING THE GRILLE
ln order to better protect the speaker and guard against shipping
damage the grille is removed from the speaker during shipping.
Before the grille is installed, make sure the tweeter protector cap is
removed.
1. Remove the grille from the packing plywood by lifting it up and
then out.
2. Unmount the black trim strip on the front of the speaker (below
the baffle) by removing the two phillips screws.
3. Mount the grille by first pushing its top down into the fasteners on
top of the baffle so that the grille top is flush with the cabinet top.
Then push the bottom of the grille back against the speaker so that
the pins in the bottom of the batfle seat into the holes in the grille.
4. Remount the black trim strip to the front of the speaker.
