First Steps

Charging the Battery

Charge the supplied Rechargeable Li-ion Battery EN-EL5 with the supplied Battery
Charger MH-61 before first use or when the battery is running low.

Plug the charger in.
Connect the power cable to the charger 1 and then plug it into an electrical outlet 2.
The CHARGE lamp will light 3.

Charge the battery.
Remove the battery terminal cover and insert the
battery as shown, matching the projections on
the battery to the indentations in the charger.
The CHARGE lamp will blink 1 as the battery
recharges. Charging is complete when the
CHARGE lamp stops blinking 2.
A fully-exhausted battery will charge in about
two hours.
