Playback Options: The Playback Menu
c Delete
Press the c button (Playback mode) M d (Playback menu) M c Delete
Delete selected or all pictures.
Erase selected images
Delete selected pictures (see "Selecting Pictures" (A116) for more information).
Erase all images
Delete all pictures.

Notes on Deletion
• Once deleted, pictures cannot be recovered. Transfer important images to a computer before
deletion.
• Pictures marked with the s icon are protected and cannot be deleted.

Press the c button (Playback mode) M d (Playback menu) M d Protect
Protect selected pictures from accidental deletion.
Select the picture and apply the setting in the picture selection screen (see
"Selecting Pictures" (A116) for more information).
Note, however, that formatting the camera's internal memory or the memory card
will permanently erase protected files (A135).
Protected pictures are recognized by the s icon in playback mode (A7, 55).
