Solar String Lights

Safety
• Do not use the string lights in an environment where it could be
exposed to gas, steam or dust.
• Only use the recommended type of rechargeable batteries.
• This product must not be modified or adapted in any way.
• Only let a qualified technician perform repairs and only using original
spare parts.
• Do not let children play with the product.
• NEVER use non-rechargeable batteries with the string lights.
• Solar string lights with 15 bulb-shaped LED lamps.
• Solar panel with 3 m lead for greater placement flexibility.

Care and maintenance
Clean the solar string lights by wiping them with a soft, damp cloth. Use
a mild detergent. Never use solvents or strong, abrasive cleaning agents.
Changing the batteries
The rechargeable battery will eventually need to be replaced. The battery
compartment is located under the solar panel. Remove its 4 retaining
screws to access the battery. Only one AA/HR6 1.2 V/800 mAh NiMH
rechargeable battery should be used.
Responsible disposal
This symbol indicates that this product should not be
disposed of with general household waste. This applies
throughout the entire EU. In order to prevent any harm to
the environment or health hazards caused by incorrect waste
disposal, the product must be handed in for recycling so that
the material can be disposed of in a responsible manner.
When recycling your product, take it to your local collection
facility or contact the place of purchase. They will ensure that the product
is disposed of in an environmentally sound manner.
Installing the solar cell
Pushed into the ground
1. Set the switch on the back of the solar cell to ON or TIMER.

Fastened to a structure
1. Detach the bracket from the solar cell.
2. Using the bracket as a guide, mark out
the position of the mounting holes.

fastener for the material of the structure.
Note: Ensure that there are no electrical
wires or water pipes in the wall where
you intend to screw/drill.
4. Set the switch on the back of the solar
cell to ON or TIMER.
5. Screw the solar cell back onto
the bracket and adjust it to an angle to
receive as much sun as possible.
6. Hang up the string light in the desired
location.
7. The string light comes on automatically
at dusk.
Operating instructions
On the back of the solar cell is a switch, choose between:
ON: The light comes on automatically at dusk and
turns off automatically at dawn.
OFF: The light is completely turned off.
TIMER: The timer function can be used to temporarily
turn the string light on, even in daylight. This mode
circumvents the light sensor. The light will turn on right away and stay on
for 6 hours and before turning off and staying off for 18 hours, provided
that the battery is sufficiently charged. Note! If the battery is completely
empty, the solar panel will not charge efficently enough to turn the string
lights on. Set the switch to ON and let the solar panel charge in direct
sunlight for 8 hours before setting the switch to TIMER again.
Troubleshooting
If the string light doesn't turn on:
• Check which function the switch is set to. For the light to be able to
turn on, the switch must be set to ON or TIMER. In the ON mode the
light comes on automatically at dusk and doesn't light during the day.
In the TIMER mode the light will come on at the same time every day
provided that the battery is sufficiently charged.
• The light sensor may be blocked and prevent the lights from turning
on. Block the solar panel and check that the lights come on.
• The battery is not sufficiently charged. Place the solar panel in
an area where it receives sufficient sunlight.
• The solar panel is dirty. Clean it.
