DOOR SENSOR COMPATIBILITY

Compatible with:
myQ® Smart Garage™ Hub models MYQ-G0301 and 821LMB.
Also compatible with MyQ GarageTM MYQ-G0201 and 821LM with use of included Spacer.

MOUNT THE DOOR SENSOR

  1. Remove the pull tab from the new door sensor to activate the battery.

  2. Install the new door sensor with the included Fastening Strips or optional Screws to a clean, dry area on top panel of garage door as shown below:

    NOTE: For solid wood or insulated garage doors ONLY.

    MyQ Garage
    Install using Fastening Strips
    NOTE: When installing this door sensor with a MyQ Garage, the included spacer MUST be installed with the door sensor.
    MOUNT THE DOOR SENSOR - Step 3

    Press the door sensor and spacer firmly to the garage door for 30 seconds to ensure a secure attachment.
    Optional: Install using Screws
    NOTE: For solid wood or insulated garage doors ONLY.
    MOUNT THE DOOR SENSOR - Step 4

If you are replacing your door sensor, please follow these steps first:

  1. Press and release the Test button on the existing door sensor until the Wi-Fi Hub beeps. Note number of beeps (this indicates if original door sensor was assigned to door 1 [1 beep] or door 2 [2 beeps] on the Wi-Fi Hub).
  2. Remove existing door sensor from your garage door.
  3. Remove the existing fastening strips from the garage door.
  4. Open the existing door sensor and remove the battery.
  5. Properly dispose of the door sensor and the battery.

PROGRAM THE DOOR SENSOR

Use the myQ App to add a new door sensor to your second garage door (For details on the myQ app installation, please reference the full manual at www.Chamberlain.com/myQsupport).
NOTE: If you are replacing an existing door sensor, please use the following steps to program your door sensor to both your Wi-Fi Hub and your Garage Door Opener:

  1. From your existing door sensor, recall if the Wi-Fi Hub beeped once or twice when the door sensor Test button was pressed.
  2. On the Wi-Fi hub, press and release button 1 for 1 beep or button 2 for 2 beeps. The hub's yellow LED will turn on.
  3. On the new door sensor, press and release the Test button. The Wi-Fi hub will flash and beep indicating successful programming.
  4. In the myQ app, check that you can open and close your garage door to confirm successful programming.

TEST DOOR SENSOR

Test your door sensor every 6 months or if the myQ system is not working as expected.
Press and release the test button on the door sensor, the LED on the door sensor should blink and the myQ Smart Garage Hub or MyQ Garage should beep. Wait 5-10 seconds, then repeat this test 5 more times (wait 5-10 seconds between each test).
If the LED doesn't blink or the myQ Smart Garage Hub or MyQ Garage doesn't beep with each press, replace the battery in the door sensor. Use a 3V Lithium battery size CR2450.
