TO INSTALL OR REPLACE BATTERIES IN HEADLAMP

Your new headlamp operates on four "D/LR20" batteries. Batteries not included. For longest life, use alkaline batteries.

do not mix old and new batteries. Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc), or rechargeable batteries. Result could lead to over-heated circuit and damage to the lamp.

1. Push on the two battery compartment locking tabs located under the lantern to remove the compartment from the lantern (fig. 1).
   
2. Push on the battery compartment locking button to open the compartment (fig. 2).
   
3. Place four batteries inside the compartment, being sure to follow the polarities indicated inside the compartment (fig. 3).
   
4. Close the compartment cover. Press firmly on it to ensure closing.
5. Reposition the battery compartment inside the lantern, being sure to match up the lug connections located at the bottom of the compartment with those of the compartment holder (fig. 4).
   

HOW TO USE

The flashlight switch (fig. 5) has two positions: (ON) and (OFF). Push on the switch to obtain the desired adjustment.

DO NOT LOOK AT THE BEAM!
The upper part of the lantern rotates. To adjust it (fig. 6), bend it up or down.

THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW

1. Operating time for this lamp depends on whether it is run continuously or intermittently. Intermittent operation extends the run time of a set of batteries. Run time, beam distance and light output on high position: see packaging. All tests for Run time, beam distance and light output are conducted with fresh batteries or fully charged batteries/energy storage devices.
2. LEDS never needs to be replaced.
3. Do not leave discharged batteries in the lamp for an extended period of time as this could permanently damage the lamp.
4. To clean the outside of the lamp, use only a damp cloth and mild dishwashing liquid. Avoid excessive water and strong cleaner which can damage the lamp.
5. The battery compartment can be replaced by the power supply CPX™ 6 (sold separately) containing a rechargeable battery 6 V. Contact customer service for more information.
