BEFORE THE FIRST USE
- Take the appliance and accessories out the box. Remove the stickers, protective foil or plastic from the device.
- Place the device on a flat stable surface and ensure a minimum of 10 cm. free space around the device. This device is not suitable for installation in a cabinet or for outside use.
- Clean the plates by wiping it with a soft sponge or cloth in dampened warm water.
- Dry the plates with a dry cloth or paper towel.
- Do not immense the appliance in water or put it in a dishwasher
- When the appliance is turned on for the first time, a slight odour will occur. This is normal, ensure adequate ventilation. The smell is only temporary and will soon fade.
- Place the device in a well ventilated space.
- Put the power cable into the socket. (Note: Make sure the voltage which is indicated on the device matches the local voltage before connecting the device. Voltage 220V-240V 50/60Hz)
USE
- Open the waffle maker and grease both baking plates with some oil or fat.
- Plug the appliance in the socket. The orange [PREHEATING] indicator light will go on indicating that the appliance is preheating.
- Slide the [BROWNING CONTROL] to the desired setting between 1 and 5.
- Keep the appliance closed and allow it approximately 5 minutes to preheat before using it.
- Never touch the plates when the appliance is in use.
- The green [READY] indicator light will go on when the appliance is ready for use.
- Using a wooden or heat resistant utensils, place the prepared waffle dough on the lower plate and close the appliance while it bakes.
- The baking time in every setting is 3 to 5 minutes, depending on the kind of dough and your own wishes.
- To turn the appliance off, disconnect the plug from the outlet and let the grill completely cool down.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
- Remove the plug from the wall outlet and allow the device to cool both halves open.
- Clean the baking plates with a damp cloth or soft brush.
- Clean the appliance with a damp cloth. Never use harsh and abrasive cleaners, scouring pad or steel wool, which damages the appliance.
- Never immerse the electrical appliance in water or any other liquid. The appliance is not dishwasher proof.
