Instruction Manual DEFINITIONS Anchorage A secure point of attachment for lifelines, lanyards, or deceleration devices. Attachment Point A loop or “D” ring connected (integrally) to the body support that provides a means for attachment of other components of the fall protection system. DESCRIPTION The Frontline parapet anchor is meant to be used on roof tops or surfaces that have a parapet wall and the work needs to be performed on the outside of the wall or structure.

Total Fall Clearance for PFAS: According to OSHA, the total fall clearance distance is the minimum vertical distance between the worker and the lower level that is necessary to ensure the worker does not contact a lower level during a fall.

Page 19 Instruction Manual Swing Fall: The swing fall hazard is created by the pendulum effect, which can swing a fallen worker into a nearby surface, such as a wall or protruding beam. In addition to calculating the total fall clearance distance before beginning work on an elevated level, it is important to evaluate the swing fall hazard at the edges where a worker might fall.

Page 21 Instruction Manual BUILDING Before installing the parapet anchor Frontline requires that the substrate withstand the required 5,000 lbs minimum breaking strength and approved before use by a qualified person. The parapet wall must be a minimum of 10” high so that the adjustable arm lies flat and unobstructed and the parapet wall be of a maximum width of no greater than 15”.

Once anchor has been positioned, remove the locking pin out of the adjustable arm and then move the adjustable arm as close as possible to the parapet inner wall as shown on figure 6. FIGURE 6 3. Line up the closest slot and then insert the locking pin through the adjustable and fixed arm slots.
Page 23 Instruction Manual 5. Now, turn the adjustable pressure handle clockwise in order to tighten onto the inner parapet wall as tight and with as much as pressure possible to fully secure the parapet anchor to the wall as shown on figure 8. a.

Repairs and maintenance can only by done Frontline MAINTENANCE AND SERVICE: Fall Protection. No company or end user shall maintenance or repair Frontline Fall Protection products under no circumstances. Product that does not pass inspection or is questionable needs to be taken out of service immediately and then notified to Frontline Fall Protection for inspection and further action.
