Installation using Screws (not supplied)
1. Make sure you will not damage any substrate equipment when drilling holes through it. Air
conditioners and lights often have sensitive equipment near the surface. Look inside before
drilling.
2. Drill pilot holes through the three holes in the base of the Daddi Long Legs.
3. Peel the paper off the adhesive gasket.
4. Using a cordless screwdriver, drive self tapping screws through the three holes in the base.
Note: Do not use the adhesive gasket to secure the unit in place. The gasket is provided only to
keep water from entering through the screw holes.
Installation using avifix (adH006)
The slippery Delrin base of the Daddi Long Legs cannot be glued. You must use an intermediate
stick-on-base (available from Network - DAD005)
1. Make sure the mounting surface is clean and dry, and free of droppings, dust, peeling paint,
rust, etc.
2. Screw the Daddi Long Legs base to the top of the stick-on base using the screws provided. (The
top of the stick-on base is the side where the screw holes are larger).
3. Apply a zig-zag pattern of Avifix to the bottom of the base and press in place. Move the base
whilst pressing down to achieve a layer of Avifix maximum 1mm thick.
Removing the Spindle:
The top part (which contains the twelve rods) can be removed from the base by pulling it
upwards. When putting it back together, make sure the lock-disk is forced back up inside the top
part with a screwdriver or similar.
