The notebook uses less power when the available power-management features are used. You
will then be able to work longer when using the battery before having to recharge it.
Power efficiency is increased and environmental pollution reduced. By
choosing the best power options, you can make significant savings and
at the same time help protect the environment.
When you close the LCD screen, depending on the setting in Windows, the
notebook automatically enters a power saving mode.
► Select the power management functions in your Control Panel.
If you need further information about an option, you can get help about most settings
by pressing the key combination
When the notebook is in power-saving mode, the following must be remembered:
During power-saving mode, open data is held in main memory or in a swap file on the file.
Never turn off your notebook while it is in a power saving mode. If the built-in battery is
nearly empty, close the open files and do not go into power saving mode.
If you do not intend to use your notebook for a long period of time:
► Exit power saving mode if necessary via the mouse or keyboard or by switching on the
notebook.
► Close all opened programs and completely shut down the notebook.
If you operate the notebook in battery mode:
When the system is running in battery mode, the power consumption can be adjusted.
► Click on the battery symbol in the task bar.
► To spontaneously reduce power consumption, click the power-saving mode button.

Adjusting system performance in Microsoft Windows

Your system is supplied with an optimally adjusted balance between system
performance, fan noise and battery life.
Windows 10: If required, you can change the system performance in mains operation
or in battery operation separately by selecting the battery icon in the Windows
taskbar with the Windows Performance Power Slider.
Windows 11: You can adjust the "Power Mode" after right-clicking on the
battery icon in the corresponding menu.
Maximum system performance increases fan noise and reduces battery life.
Maximum battery life limits system performance.
