GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS This heater is for use on 120 volts. The cord has a plug as shown as below. An adapter as shown at C is available for connecting three-blade grounding-type plugs to two-slot receptacles. The green grounding lug extending from the adapter must be connected to a permanent ground such as a properly grounded outlet box. -

Heater Function This heater has a thermostat sensor to control the ambient temperature in the surrounding area of the fireplace. The heater will cycle ON and OFF to maintain the selected temperature.

I just got the unit yesterday and the first thing I noticed is it's not staying on blowing warm air. It stays on for a minute or two but then shuts off again. Not the whole thing, just blowing heat. Then this morning, I'm getting an E1. I have it unplugged but I'm very concerned that I'm having these issues already.
