R&S GW5420 Functioning The control function of the telephony gateway is performed by the CPU Card (PG1MS) with VoIP interface which allows the management of the calls and ensures the internal connection to the PCM streams. The communication function of the telephony gateway is performed by interface cards which allow voice communications by using different types of interfaces such as: FXS, FXO, LB, E&M PHONE, MFC-R2, BRI, ATS-N5, ATS-QSIG.
R&S GW5420 User Information 1.6.1. CPU Card 1.6.1.1. Functional Description The PG1MS Card is the CPU Card. The CPU Card includes a Flash memory that stores the embedded application of the Rohde & Schwarz module in which it is mounted.
