Ring signals and melodies Your phone comes with a number of standard and polyphonic melodies that can be used as ring signals. You can create and edit standard melodies, and send them to a friend in a text or picture message. You can also download standard and polyphonic melodies via WAP.

Data account settings You can have several data accounts saved in your phone, with different settings for different purposes. The main setting for a data account is the Account type (connection method). Security SIM card lock The SIM card lock protects your subscription, but not your phone itself, from unauthorized use. If you change SIM cards, the phone still works with the new SIM card. To unblock your SIM card 1. PIN blocked appears. 2.
Phone lock The phone lock protects the phone against unauthorized use if it is stolen and the SIM card is exchanged. It is not on when you buy the phone. You can change the phone lock code (0000) to any four- to eight-digit personal code.
Troubleshooting This chapter lists some problems that you might encounter while using your phone. Some problems require that you call your service provider, but most of the problems you can easily correct yourself. The phone cannot be switched on Recharge or replace the battery. SOS calls only You are within range of a network, but you are not allowed to use it. However, in an emergency, some operators allow you to call an emergency number. See “Emergency calls” on page 30. No network (or no operator name displayed) There is no network within range or the received signal is too weak.
