Combi decks

To switch from a mulch deck to a rear discharge,
lift the deck to its highest position and undo the
handwheel in the centre of the deck. Once undone
the top stiffener assembly is pulled out to make the
deck a rear discharge. In order to make the rear
discharge into a mulch, reverse the procedure so the
top stiffener is back in the deck.
Mini Combi Deck
(Fig. 25a)
This deck combines the mulch & the rear discharge
all in one deck. The user has only to undo a
handwheel and remove the back piece of the deck
and it can be used as a rear discharge deck. This
saves the time of switching decks.
High Grass Mulch Deck
The real alternative when cutting long or paddock
grass is the "high grass mulch" deck. When using the
high grass mulch deck please ensure the following:
1. When cutting very tall grass set the deck at the
higher settings 7-9.
2. Drive forward at a speed that does not cause the
engine speed to drop. REMEMBER if the RPM
display flashes below 2600rpm, there are two
options:
a) Reduce forward speed
b) Raise the cutting height.
3. Regularly check the cutter deck drive belt tension
in accordance with the instructions (Page 15).
