19. Secure the vehicle part to the platforms (3) and
(4) so that the vehicle part is stable and will not
tip or slip on the scissors lift table.
WARNING
Danger of the Load Falling, Tipping, or Slipping!
If the vehicle part is not secured to the scissors
lift table correctly, the load could fall, tip, or slip.
This could result in serious personal injuries or
severe damage to materials.
Always secure the vehicle part to the
platforms with the specified adaptors or
suitable restraints.
Use all necessary adaptors or restraints to
secure the vehicle part on the scissors lift table.
Adhere to and follow all specifications in the
workshop manual of the automobile
manufacturer.
20. If necessary, pull out the extendible platform (4).
When the scissors lift table is used as a
stationary work site, the surface can be
extended in order to separate the powertrain,
such as the engine and transmission.
Pull on and hold the locking pin (29). Use the grip
(28) to pull out the extendible platform (4) to the
desired position until the locking pin (29) locks
into place.
CAUTION
Crushing Hazard!
Body parts could be crushed if the platform is not
secured.
Ensure that the locking pin is locked into place
in one of its three positions.

21. Ensure that the vehicle part is placed on the
scissors table correctly.
WARNING
An unbalanced load could cause the vehicle part
to tip or fall!
This could result in serious personal injuries or
severe damage to materials.
Ensure that the load centre is as far in the
middle of the scissors lift table as possible.
Ensure that the vehicle part extends no higher
than 45.7 cm (18 inches) above the platforms.
Distribute the vehicle part over at least a
quarter of the long side of the platforms.
When extending the platform, ensure that the
load on the extendible platform does not
exceed 800 kg.
22. Lower the platforms (3) and (4) to their lowest
positions.
Press the lever (2) to release the mechanical lock
(17). Simultaneously press the end of the pedal
marked "RELEASE" (9) to lower the platforms (3)
and (4).
