SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the followings:

  1. Read all instructions.
  2. Never immerse the cord, plug or appliance in water or other liquids.
  3. Use the appliance only for its intended use.
  4. Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
  5. Close supervision is necessary when an appliance is used by or near children.
  6. Unplug from outlet before cleaning or when not in use.
  7. Do not use outdoor.
  8. Other accessories which do not provided by this appliance is not recommended to use.
  9. For household use only.
  10. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid hazard.
  11. The appliances are not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote-control system
  12. This appliance is designed for domestic use only.
  13. Do not pull on the connection cord, but rather on the plug, to separate the appliance from the mains.
  14. Stand the appliance on a table or flat surface.
  15. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children aged less than 3 years
  16. This appliance is not intended to be used by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
  17. This appliance can be used by children aged from 3 years and above if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
  18. This appliance can be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
  19. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance
  20. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are aged from 8 years and above and supervised.

Product Parts Overview

BEFORE FIRST-TIME USE

  1. Check the voltage rating on the base corresponds to the mains voltage in your home. Remove any labels or stickers from appliance.
  2. Before first use or after periods of prolonged storage, thoroughly wash cover, glass bottle and top in warm, soapy water then rinse and dry carefully.
  3. Wipe the inside of yogurt maker with a damp cloth.
  4. Prepare following utensils: a high sided saucepan, a jug, a sieve and a spoon. Ensure all these utensils and glass bottle and tops are washed before start making yogurt. Allow these utensils air dry.

TO USE

Milk

Milk is always suitable: you get the best results with whole milk. Do not use skim milk.

  • Raw milk has to be boiled beforehand
  • Milk powder may be used

Preparation

  1. Pour 4-5 cups of milk (for 6 glass bottles) into a bowl and add the yeast.
    There are two kinds of natural fermenting agents: plain yogurt or yeast.
    • For the next batch you may use one of the yogurts as a leaven.
    • You can sweeten the yogurts by adding sugar to the mixture.
  2. Pour the mixture into the glass bottles
  3. Place the opened bottles into the yogurt maker
  4. Cover the yogurt maker with the lid

TO OPERATE YOGURT MAKER WITH SWITCH FUNCTION

  1. Plug the yogurt maker into the wall socket.
  2. Push the switch button on
  3. Set the hour reminder to the time desired for the yogurt will be ready. It will take about 8-10 hours to make yogurt, the longer the cooking time, the thicker the yogurts will be.
  4. When the yogurt is done, push the switch button off and remove the plug form the wall socket. The hour reminder will not switch off the yoghurt maker. It just reminds you when to push off switch button and remove the plug from the wall. Socket.
  5. Remove the cover and place the glass bottles in the refrigerator to cool.

THE YOGURT MAKER SHOULD REMAIN PERFECTLY STILL DURING THE MATURING PROCESS. DO NOT MOVE THE APPLIANCE OR REMOVE ANY GLASS BOTTLES AS THIS WILL AFFECT THE FIRMNESS OF THE YOGURT.

TO SERVE

Once the yogurt cools down, it can be served with natural flavors or add honey, sugar to sweeten the yogurt or add fruit toppings. Everyone can add their favorite flavors to suit their individual taste.

TO CARE AND CLEAN

  1. Before clean or not in use the yogurt maker, always unplug it.
  2. Wash the cover thoroughly; glass bottles and top in warm, soapy water then rinse and dry carefully.
  3. Wipe the inside of yogurt maker with a damp cloth.
  4. Do not immerse the cord, plug or appliance in water or other liquids.
  5. Do not clean plastic parts with a scouring agent. Use a solution of normal washing up liquid and warm water to avoid scratches.
  6. The glass bottles can be washed by dishwasher.
