NOTES ON USING THE DEVICE
- When using the BC-48 Battery Charger to charge a special battery, the temperature should be between 10°C and 35°C. If the temperature is outside this range, the charging time may need to be longer in order to prevent the performance of the special battery from deteriorating.
- It is not unusual for the special battery and BC-48 to become warm due to internal power consumption. Please try to provide good ventilation when charging.
- During charging you may hear the sound of internal oscillation but this is not a fault.
- Do not use the BC-48 to charge any battery other than a special battery.
- During charging the BC-48 may cause interference with radio broadcasts from a nearby radio. If this occurs, move the radio away from the BC-48.
- Take care not to allow other metal objects to come in contact with the connectors or contacts on the special battery otherwise this may cause a short circuit.
- Do not place the battery charger in the following locations:
✽ In hot places such as close to a heating appliance or in direct sunlight/ In very humid places/In very dusty places/In places subject to strong vibrations - For connection to a supply not in the U.S.A., use an attachment plug adapter of the proper configuration for the power outlet.
USING THE DEVICE
- Attach the plug adapter. Attach the plug adapter as shown at right, making sure that it is fully inserted and clicks into place on the charger terminals.
- Fit the NP-48 Rechargeable Battery into the BC-48 Battery Charger. Insert the battery in the orientation indicated by the labels.
- Plug the charger in. The charging indicator will light. When charging is completed, the indicator turns off.
