– Getting Started
®
Product ships from the factory with a default IP address of 192.168.100.10, default gateway of 192.168.100.1, and default subnet
mask of 255.255.255.224, and has a unique MAC address for use on an internal intranet or network.
1. Plug one end of an Ethernet cable into product and the other end into an existing Ethernet jack on a MAC or PC.
2. Make note of current IP settings, and restore settings when finished with setup. If you are unsure of settings, contact
your network administrator.
3. Change TCP/IP settings of computer to connect to RIB as follows:
IP Address: 192.168.100.2
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.224
4. Connect and apply power to product. The green Device Status LED will blink on and off once per second and the green
Ethernet Link Status LED will stay on.
5. The yellow LED will blink when device is sending or receiving any network traffic.
6. In an Internet web browser (Safari®, Firefox®, or Internet Explorer®) type in the default factory address of "192.168.100.10"
and press Enter.
7. The web browser window will display the Ethernet RIB web page with relay control buttons, the relay's current status,
last network command, and the current digital input status.
8. To turn the relay on, click the ON control button then click the SET button. To turn the relay off, click the OFF control
button then click the SET button.
9. To change the RIB® default IP address, port number, subnet mask or gateway, click on the Setup link on the page. The
setup page will appear in the browser window. Type in the new IP address for the device and click the Save button. Next a
new page will display a link with the new assigned IP address. After the device updates itself, click on the link to communi-
cate with the device at its new assigned IP address.
10. Also in the setup page are options to change the host name of the device and the location of the device that appear
on the front page. i.e. "Air Handler :: Room 9,5th Floor" ; and the default relay setting. The characters
cannot be used.
11. If for any reason the IP address is lost and cannot log back into the device, reset by holding Reset Pushbutton for 5
seconds. This will reset the device back to its factory default settings and default IP address. The green Device Status LED
will blink rapidly while jumper is shorted to provide visual feedback, and will blink once per second when the short is
removed.
