Introduction
Thank you for purchasing Sonance Visual Performance
VP67LCR in-wall home theater speakers. When properly
installed, these speakers will bring-out the best in all your
entertainment. This manual will teach you about your new
speakers' features and will show you how to get the very best
performance from them. Please read it thoroughly.

Your VP67LCR speaker box should contain the following items:
(1) Sonance VP67LCR speaker
(1) Paintable grille
(1) Paint Plug (on speaker)
(1) Mounting cutout template (in packaging)

Speaker Placement

Home Theater Center Channel
You can use the VP67LCR as a Center Channel speaker with other
Sonance Visual Performance speakers as the left and right
channel speakers.
• If possible, locate the center speaker at the same height as the
left & right channel speakers (38 – 42 inches from the floor),
oriented horizontally with its tweeter on top.
• If you must place the center speaker above or below a video
screen, we recommend placing it no more than 2 feet above or
below the center of the left and right speakers.
Use Figure 1 as a guide.

Home Theater Left/Center/Right Channels
You can use the VP67LCR in the Left, Center and Right Channel
®
Series
positions of a home theater system.
• Place the left & right speakers on either side of the video
screen, from 6 feet to 10 feet apart and 38 – 42 inches from
the floor, oriented vertically with their tweeters away from the
video screen.
• If possible, locate the left and right speakers at least 18 inches
away from the side walls.

Follow the directions for Home Theater placement for the left and
right channel speakers.
• Orient the speakers vertically, with their tweeters towards the
outside (away from each other).
• If listeners will be standing instead of seated, locate the speakers
with their centers approximately 5 feet from the floor.

  • Page 2 The IR plug is in the form of a bolt and retaining nut. To remove the plug, unscrew the nut (located behind the baffle) and remove the bolt. The hole is designed to receive a Sonance OptiLinQ SMR1 or SMR1P Surface-Mount IR receiver. Insert the IR receiver through the front of the speaker baffle and use the nut included with the receiver to secure it to the baffle.
