IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

This manual contains Safety Instructions, Installation and Operating Instructions, and Troubleshooting Tips. Please carefully read this manual before using your dehumidifier for instructions on how to use and maintain the product properly. Be sure to follow the safety instructions to avoid injury or damage to the product.
Keep this manual. When passing on/selling the device to a third party, the manual must be handed over along with the device.
Before calling for service, please make sure unit is installed and being used correctly, and read the troubleshooting section.


When using your appliance, follow the precautions listed below.

  1. This appliance is for household use only. It is not intended for commercial applications. DO NOT use for other than the intended purpose.
  2. The appliance is intended for indoor use only. DO NOT use outdoors.
  3. This appliance should not be operated by anyone with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or does not have experience with this type of equipment, unless under supervision.
  4. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children. DO NOT let children play with the appliance.
  5. Use caution when unpacking and installing the unit. Sharp edges may cause injury.

  6. Before using, verify that the outlet is a properly installed and grounded 120V-60Hz outlet.
  7. Do not touch or operate the unit when barefoot or with wet or damp hands.
  8. DO NOT unplug your appliance by pulling on the power cord. ALWAYS grasp the plug firmly and pull it straight out from the outlet.
  9. DO NOT modify or repair the unit by yourself, or use any unauthorized parts to attempt to repair the dehumidifier.
  10. Do not remove any fixed panels. Never use the dehumidifier if it is not working properly or if it has been dropped or damaged.
  11. DO NOT operate any appliance that has a damaged cord or plug; or if the unit is damaged or malfunctions in any way. Contact customer service or a service technician.
  12. Do not use the plug to start and stop the unit. Always use the power switch on the control panel.
  13. ALWAYS unplug the appliance before cleaning the unit or before any repairs or maintenance.
  14. Do not place or store the dehumidifier where it can fall into water or any other liquid. If this occurs, immediately unplug the unit and call Customer Service. If the dehumidifier is knocked over during use, immediately turn the unit off and unplug it from the main power supply.
  15. Do not restrict or obstruct the airflow at the inlet or outlet vents.
  16. Be sure to place the dehumidifier on a flat, sturdy surface or the unit may not sense the level of the water in the moisture container and cause water leakage.
  17. Do not use abrasive cleaning products or spray liquids to clean the dehumidifier.
  18. Do not operate the dehumidifier in the presence of flammable substances or vapors such as alcohol, insecticides, gasoline, etc. Do not place the power cord near flammable gas or combustibles such as gasoline, benzene, thinner, etc.
  19. Ventilate the room before operating the dehumidifier, especially if there is a gas leakage from another appliance, or when operating the dehumidifier together with a stove or similar products as an oxygen shortage may occur.
  20. Do not direct airflow towards room occupants as this may impact the health of occupants. Do not direct airflow at a pet or plant.
  21. Do not drink water drained from the dehumidifier.
  22. Unplug the dehumidifier when not in use.
  23. Please ensure that the appliance is plugged directly into the electrical outlet.
  24. The appliance shall be installed in accordance with national wiring regulations.

BEFORE USE

  • Before using the dehumidifier, remove all packaging materials and the protective film on the dehumidifier body. Place the unit vertically in a well-ventilated, indoor environment on a flat, sturdy surface.
  • Make sure that there is at least 8" (20cm) on both sides and at the back of the dehumidifier for proper circulation, and that no objects are blocking the vents.
  • Check the moisture container at the bottom rear of the unit for proper installation.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

  • The dehumidifier works with thermoelectric technology. When the thermoelectric system is working, water vapor in the air will go through a cooling sink in the unit and condense to water, which is collected in the moisture container.
  • To use the dehumidifier, place on a level surface and plug into a properly installed electrical outlet. Press the Power button and the unit will begin working. A blue LED indicator on the Power button will light when the unit is in operation.
  • When the moisture container is full and needs to be emptied, an orange LED indicator on the Power button will be lit.
  • To turn the unit off, push the Power button. When you are not using the dehumidifier, unplug the cord from the outlet and remove any water from the moisture container.
  • When the moisture container is full, the orange LED on the power button will illuminate, indicating it the container needs to be drained. Pull the moisture container out of the unit, remove the top lid, and pour out the water in it. When re-installing, be sure that the white float valve is in the same position in the container before putting back into the dehumidifier.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

  • Before cleaning or doing any maintenance, unplug your dehumidifier.
  • Remove the water from the moisture container and clean it periodically to prevent odors from developing.
  • Be careful not to spill water when you remove the moisture container from the unit.
  • Clean the sides and the back of the dehumidifier periodically to keep the vents free from dust.
  • Wipe the exterior with a damp, soapy cloth and dry with a towel.
  • Reconnect to power when the dehumidifier is clean and dry.


This unit is not recommended for use when the ambient temperature is higher than 104°F.
