Restoring Encrypted Backup Files

When you restore backup files that have been encrypted, StorageSync prompts you for the
password that was used to encrypt the files (see Figure 26). When this screen appears, you
can:
Enter the appropriate password and click OK.
Add one or more passwords to the password list by entering a password and clicking Add
after each typed password.
Click Cancel to cancel the restore operation.
For security each password character appears as an asterisk (*). However, you can
!
view passwords by clicking Show/Hide to remove the checkmark.
If you enter the correct password, StorageSync restores the files, as described in step 9 under
"Data Backup Procedure."
If you are restoring files from more than one backup job, with each job encrypted using a
different password, StorageSync prompts you each time another password is required (see
Figure 27). This screen also appears if you enter an incorrect password. This screen lists all
the passwords defined in StorageSync.
