Advanced Operations
Listening to music from your
external device
The unit can be used to play the music from
many types of external device. (Refer to the page
"Optional Equipment Connection" on page 15)
1. Connect the external device to the PORT.IN
connector of the unit.
2. Turn the power on by pressing 1.
3. Select the PORTABLE function by pressing F on
the unit or FUNCTION on the remote control.
4. Turn the external device and start it playing.
Karaoke Basic Playback
1. Turn on the power of TV and unit.
2. Open the disc tray and insert supplied karaoke
disc by using B (OPEN/CLOSE) on the remote
control or by pressing R (OPEN/ClOSE) on the
unit.
3. Close the disc tray by using B (OPEN/CLOSE)
on the remote control or by pressing R
(OPEN/CLOSE) on the unit.
4. To enter to the KARAOKE/DVD/CD mode,
press FUNCTION on the remote control or F on
the unit.
5. Connect the microphone to the MIC jacks.
6. Press the melody number you want among the
Numeric buttons from 0 to 9.
7. If you want to cancel the selected melody
number, press the CLEAR on the remote
control.
8. To start, press z MONO/STEREO on the
remote control or T(PLAY / PAUSE) on the
unit.
9. To stop, press Z (STOP) on the remote control
or I (STOP) on the unit.
You can change the key to suit your
vocal range with Key Control
You can adjust the key to 13 steps (6 steps higher, 6
steps lower and the original key).
- The setting appears on the screen.
y To flatten the key one by one, press the
KEY CON.(b) on the remote control repeatedly
during playback.
y To sharp the key one by one, press the
KEY CON.(#) on the remote control repeatedly
during playback.
To adjust ECHO Volume
You can give an echo effect to the sound from the
microphones.
Press the ECHO VOL(+/-) on the remote control.
To adjust the Tone Control
If you want to adjust the tone of song in the
karaoke mode.
Press TONE CONTROL on the remote control
repeatedly to change MAN's or WOMEN's tone
To change tempo
You can use this function when you want to play
fast or slow.
y Press TEMPO +/v on the remote control
repeatedly during singing to play faster.
y Press TEMPO -/c on the remote control
repeatedly during singing to play slower.
Shadow Function
If KARAOKE CD caption and the song's subtitle
are mixed up, the song's subtitle may be invisible.
In this case, to highlight the song's subtitle, press
SHADOW on the remote control.
- It will be highlighted by background shadow
image.
