IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Please note: the Default EDID is 1080p@60Hz 2.1CH therefore the HDMI Receiver will output the video & audio according to this. If your display supports a different resolution and/or audio channel, please adjust the EDID.
We recommend to press the Sync button after you have finished connecting the units.

  1. To prevent fire or shock hazard, do not expose any part of the devices to rain or moisture.
  2. This product is for indoor use only
  3. Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves or other apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat.
  4. Clean only with a dry cloth.
  5. Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched particularly at plug, convenience receptacles, and the point where it exits from the apparatus.
  6. Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time.
  7. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel.
  8. Do not expose this equipment to dripping or splashing and ensure that no objects filled with liquids, such as vases, are placed on the equipment.
  9. This device should be operated using only the AC/DC adaptor supplied with it.
  10. Do not overload wall outlets and extension cords as this can result in the risk of fire or electrical shock.

Transmitter: HDMI with HDMI Loop-out to CAT

Receiver: CAT to HDMI
Connections - Receiver

  1. DC5V Power Input: if low quality CAT cable is used, you may need to use an additional DC5V power adaptor (sold separately) to amplify the signal. With full Copper CAT6 cable up to 55m, no power is required (PoE)
  2. HDMI Output to display
  3. For IR Receiver Cable
  4. Sync: pairs the units
  5. CAT Input
  6. Link: LED is ON when an HDMI output is detected

INSTALLATION

Installation

  1. Connect a source device to the HDMI Input on the Transmitter.
  2. If using the HDMI Loop-Output, connect a display to the HDMI Out on the Transmitter.
  3. Connect a single CAT 5e/6/7 up to 55m from the CAT Output of the Transmitter to the CAT Input of the Receiver.
  4. Connect a display from the HDMI Output on the Receiver.
  5. If using the IR cables, connect the IR Blaster to the IR IN in the Transmitter; and the IR Receiver to the IR OUT on the Receiver.
  6. Plug the power supply into the Transmitter DC5V power socket and plug the power adaptor into a mains socket.

EDID

The display used within an installation may not support all resolutions available from a source. It is necessary to make sure the source will provide a video and audio format compatible with the connected display. To accomplish this, the Transmitter includes built-in EDID management for the source input.
Please note: the Default EDID is 1080p@60Hz 2.1CH therefore the HDMI Receiver will output the video & audio according to this. If your display supports a different resolution and/or audio channel, please adjust the EDID as in the following table:

  2. Connection Precautions:
    To reduce video dropouts from fans and other EMI issues, it is recommended that shielded CAT5/6 with shielded RJ45 connectors are used. Easy style connectors are not recommended.
