    Assembly & Set-Up NOTE: References to right or left side of the dethatcher are determined from behind the unit in the operating position (standing directly behind the dethatcher, facing the handle panel). Assembly Positioning the Handle Remove knobs from handles. Place lower handle as shown.

    Operation NOTE: The blade control bail does not need to be engaged in order to start the engine. Using the Dethatcher Dethatch the lawn once in the spring and once in the fall to clear dead and/or dying grass from the lawn, and to allow more air to flow through the ground.

  • Page 12 Blade Replacement To replace the blade assembly refer to Fig. 6-8. When the blades become too dull to dethatch on the 5-setting, or if any of the blades break, follow these steps to replace the blade assembly. Remove the belt cover as described in the Belt Replacement section.
