Following is a detailed description of the system accessories and their functions. ECLIPSE KEY READERS The ECLIPSE readers (Figure2a) can be connected to the EasyGate3 by just 4 wires. The system can be commanded by simply pushing the SAT key (Figure 3b) into the ECLIPSE reader slot.
SAT KEY All SAT Keys are programmed (at Factory) with a 4 byte Random Serial Number (RSN). SAT Keys and PROXI Cards can operate the EasyGate3 System. The programming instructions for the EASYGATE3, SAT Key and ECLIPSE reader can be found in the “PROGRAMMING” section.
PARTS DESCRIPTION This section describes the main parts of the EasyGate3, and the additional system devices: NC2TAST keypads; ECLIPSE readers and SAT keys; PROXI readers and Proxi cards. The numbers in boldface in the following tables refer to the parts illustrated in the various diagrams. The Parts of the ECLIPSE reader and SAT key PART DESCRIPTION...

Turns ON to signal Door violation (P1, P2 and P3): for Violation Mode 2 and Mode 3 only BPI Fault Normally OFF (Amber).
INSTALLING THE EASYGATE3 The numbers in square brackets in this manual refer to the parts described in the ‘PARTS IDENTIFICATION’ section. The EasyGate3 should be mounted in a safe dry place inside the protected premises, central to the proposed placement of all accessory devices. At least one key reader should be mounted in the vicinity of the EasyGate3 .
switch is fitted, secure the Snatch bracket [60]. 5. Replace the PCB. 6. Complete the connections on the terminal board [55]. 7. Using the dipswitches [53], program the device address. 8. Reattach the frontplate, and secure it in place by means of the screw [56]. The Terminal board NC1 C1 NA1 Changeover relay 1 - These are terminals of Relay 1 (Output 1).
Negative Terminal M M M M M AB Enable Input - If Negative is applied to this terminal, all the system peripherals, codes, keys and cards (with the AB attribute) will be disabled (refer to ‘PROGRAMMING from PC’ section). If Positive is applied to this terminal (minimum 5 V) or when this terminal opens, all the system peripherals, codes keys and cards will be enabled, regardless of the AB attribute.
The ON/OFF position of DIP Switches 1 and 2 will set the Operating mode, as follows: Mode 1 - 3 LED/Relay Proximity Control (DIP Switch 1 OFF, DIP Switch 2 ON). If this mode is selected it will be possible partition the Security system. Mode 2 - 1 LED/Relay Proximity Control (Easy mode) + Door Control system (DIP Switch 1 and 2 OFF).

Outputs The 3 on-board Outputs (single-pole changeover relays) — terminals NC1/ C1/ NA1, NC2/ C2/ NA2 and NC1/ C3/ NA3 can be used for Proximity Control and/or Door Control functions. All Outputs can be programmed as either Bistable or Monostable. It is possible to program the Pulse time of Monostable Outputs (from 300 ms to 1 hr).
Inputs The inputs function as follows: P1 - Monitors the Panel status (+OFF) or Door status P2 - Monitors the Panel Alarm line status (+L) or Door status P3 - Monitors the Door status AB - Enables/Disables devices AP - Switches the Door Control Output relays (not applicable for Mode 1) Input terminals P1, P2 and P3 can be used to monitor the system (as above).
Connecting Security Panels Security system control is the perfect application for the EasyGate3. In particular, when the EasyGate3 is programmed to operate in Mode 1 (Digital key system 3 LED/Relay), it can Arm, Disarm and Partition the Security system. Relay 1 can be used for Arming/Disarming purposes, and relays 2 and 3 can be used for Partitioning.
Programming ECLIPSE and PROXI readers The readers must be programmed via the software application, or NC2TAST keypad (refer to the ‘PROGRAMMING FROM PC’ or ‘PROGRAMMING FROM KEYPAD’ section). Readers can be enabled for ‘Door Control’ or ‘Proximity Control’ functions, and can be enabled selectively on the 3 output relays. Programming NC2TAST Keypads and Codes The keypads are enabled for both ‘Door Control’...

Arming the Security system from NC2TAST keypads 1. Enter the User Code (comprising 4 to 8 digits). 2. Press to Arm, or to disarm the system. The EasyGate3 can detect ‘Wrong PIN’ events (four consecutive Wrong PINs entered at a keypad). If audible signalling of this event is required, it will be necessary to program one of the OC Outputs, and make the necessary connections on the Security panel.
MODE 2 - 1 LED/Relay Proximity Control and Door Control System In this mode the EasyGate3 will operate as a Proximity Control and Door Control System in Easy Mode (partitioning will not be possible). In this mode, at least one reader must be programmed to operate in ‘Proximity Control’ mode, and at least one key reader must be programmed to operate in ‘Door Control’...
on the NC2TAST keypad, will turn ON when the corresponding Door opens, and will remain ON until the Door closes. a a a a a EasyGate3 can detect Door Violation via terminals P2 and P3. In this case, the indicator on the NC2TAST keypad will be used to signal Violation. The OC Outputs can also be programmed to signal Door Violation.
PROGRAMMING FROM PC The EasyGate3 can be programmed via PC or from an NC2TAST keypad. The Software application— from the Security Suite software—provides a trouble free way of programming the EasyGate3. This section describes the EasyGate3 parameters, and should also be referred to when programming from an NC2TAST keypad.
Customer The program opens on the Customer page (see Figure 12). The tags on the bottom line open the corresponding pages. The Address, City, Customer Telephone Number and Installation description are for ‘Customer records’. The Name and Customer Code are essential for Customer identification, and must be programmed as per below.
Status The Status page (see Figure 13) shows the selected operating mode of the EasyGate3 (as per the DIP Switch setting). This page allows the Installer to select the operations that must be done when the EasyGate3 Arms/Disarms (Mode 2 only), and to select the Output that will be controlled by the device that is connected to terminal AP (Enable Door Control—refer to ‘The Terminal board’) on the EasyGate3 PCB (not for Mode 1).
Unlock Output- Select this option to unlock the Outputs. Nothing - No operation will be done on the Outputs (at default). Configuration Proper functioning of the EasyGate3 depends on the BPI bus configuration. The configuration reading must match the programmed configuration. Mismatch—due to the loss of a device will generate a BPI Fault, this will occur for three consecutive readings, after which the missing device will be ignored.
ECLIPSE/PROXI Readers When no NC2TAST keypads are connected, the Easygate3 can support up to 8 ECLIPSE/PROXI readers (see Figure 15). Program the ECLIPSE/PROXI Readers page as follows: Key readers - Enter the ECLIPSE/PROXI reader label in this field (maximum 20 characters). Outputs 1, 2, 3 - Enable/Disable the reader on the Outputs.
En.1, En.2, En.3 - The EasyGate3 provides 3 Enablement levels (to be programmed in the Control page). Once the key reader level has been programmed (e.g. En.2 = Yes), it can be disabled only by deselecting the corresponding check box on the Control page. Double click the check box to toggle the status.
Prog. Extra Options Change own PIN, Set Date/Hour, Print Buffer Change own PIN Table 9 - Extra Options SAT Keys and PROXI Cards The key/cards can be programmed to operate selectively on the 3 Output Relays (see Figure 17a). The programming instructions relative to Outputs 1, 2, 3, Tim.A, Tim.B, AB, En.1, En.2, En.3 can be found in the ECLIPSE/PROXI Readers section.
