Programming
This Light Control can be programmed to automatically turn your light fixture "ON" at dusk and "OFF" after 2, 5, or 8 hours or dawn depending how you program it.
- Turn "OFF" the power to the lamp with the lamp switch or at the wall switch, if used.
- Screw the control into a lamp socket and screw a bulb into the control.
- Rotate photocell opening to face a strong source of daylight, but away from any artificial or reflected light source such as street lights or car headlights.
- Now turn "ON" the power to the lamp. Unit is programmed by simply pressing the Timer button. The first push of this button will cause the light to flash 1 time and set the control to turn the light off after 2 hours. The second push of this button will cause the light to flash 2 times and set the control to turn the light off after 5 hours. The third push of this button will cause the light to flash 3 times and set the control to turn the light off after 8 hours. The fourth push of this button will cause the light to flash 4 times and set the control to turn the light off at dawn. To confuse possible intruders, a press of the Random button will choose at random between 2, 5, or 8 hours off after light turns on at dusk. Each night the control will choose a different time until control is re-programmed or the power is turned off.

- Your Light Control is now programmed.
- If unit is installed in a dark room and a different light is turned on, the control will turn off the lamp it is controlling. When the room light is turned off, the control will turn the light on and resume the program.
- In the case of power failures, the control will still operate each day, once power is restored, defaulting to dusk to dawn until you re-program it. To re-program, simply follow these instructions again, starting with #4.
- For testing unit during daytime, covering the lens firmly with black tape should light the bulb. At night, shining a flashlight at the lens should turn the light off.
- To turn "ON" your light after programmed time, flip switch "OFF", then "ON" again. Your light will remain on until dawn. To reprogram, simply follow these instructions again starting with #4.
