Usage
Charging the gimbal
When battery in the gimbal is low the LED indicator light will start flashing red. We recommend that your charge your gimbal fully before your first use (approximately 3 hours for a full charge).
- Connect the micro USB end of the cable to the micro USB port and the other end of the cable to a computer or a USB adaptor (computer and USB adaptor not included).

- The indicator light will stay red to show that the gimbal is charging
- Once the gimbal is fully charged the indictor light will turn off, unplug the charging cable and your gimbal is ready for use
Unfold the gimbal
- Unscrew the wing nut
- Unfold the gimbal and then tighten the wing nut
Pairing your mobile device with the Bluetooth remote
- Press the remote button for 4 seconds to turn the power on. A small LED light will flash on the remote to indicate pairing
- Turn on Bluetooth on your mobile phone, search and pair with "Gimbal Selfie"
NOTE: Make sure your mobile is visible to other devices for the first pairing - The LED indicator will stop flashing after pairing has been successful
NOTE:
- The remote control will automatically shut down after 5 minutes if not paired
- The remote control will automatically sleep after 10 mins without any operation and auto shut down after another 10 mins if not used
- Long press the remote button to power off. The LED indicator will flash 3 times then the remote control will shut down
- Taking a photo: When the Bluetooth remote is connected to the mobile phone, short press of the camera button and the blue light will flash
How to use the gimbal
- Ensure that the phone cradle is not locked, open clasp and place your phone in the cradle and make sure that your phone is in the centre
- After clamping the phone and keeping the phone in a neutral position, press and hold the gimbal power button for 5 seconds to start up
- The stabiliser will activate and configure itself
- The gimbal can be used with the extension pole either retracted or extended (Best used with up to 3 telescopic rods extended (within 50cm))
- Press and hold for 3 seconds to shut down
Changing the orientation of the phone in gimbal mode
- Click the gimbal power button once to rotate the phone cradle clockwise or double click to rotate counter-clockwise
NOTE:
- Ensure the cradle is not in the lock position before using the gimbal.
- Do not force the gimbal into into position. It will automatically rotate for you when you press the power button.
How to open the tripod
When the gimbal mode is turned off:
- Unscrew the wing nut
- Unfold the gimbal and then tighten the wing nut
- Lock the cradle
- At the handle, open the legs outwards to their maximum for stability
NOTE:
- Please ensure that the middle pole is touching the ground to help with stabilisation.
- We do not recommend extending the pole height past the warning label as this could cause the tripod to become unstable.
How to use as a selfie stick
When the gimbal mode is turned off:
- Unscrew the wing nut
- Unfold the gimbal and then tighten the wing nut
- Lock the cradle
- Extend pole
NOTE:
- You can change the direction of the phone cradle if needed by unlocking the phone cradle and manually moving it.
- DO NOT move the phone cradle when it is locked as this can damage or break the lock.
Reminder
- The selfie gimbal is compatible with Android 4.2.2, Android devices and iOS 5.0 or above on iPhone
- When using the phone clamp please ensure that the phone is presses against the back of the phone clamp
- Gimbal mode: best used with up to 3 telescopic rods extended (within 50cm)
- Selfie stick mode: best used with up to 5 telescopic rods extended (within 70cm)
