Manage the Notifications and Status Bar
Pin App Notifications to the Top
You can pin app notifications to the top of the notification panel in either of the following
ways:
Swipe down from the upper left edge of the screen to display the notification panel, swipe

left on a notification, and touch
Go to Settings > Notifications & status bar, locate and touch the app for which you wish
•
to pin notifications, and enable Pin to top.
Manage Notifications for Specific Apps
You can adjust the notification mode and ringtone of an app, or set the notification effect for
a specific type of notification.
Go to Settings > Notifications & status bar, touch an app to go to the notification
management details screen, and enable or disable notifications for the app. You can also set
the notification mode within the app as follows:
Gentle notifications: When this switch is turned on, notifications will only display in
•
Notification Panel, and will not appear as banners, lock screen notifications, or status bar
icons, nor will your device ring or vibrate.
Lock screen and Banners: Allows you to select the notification display method.

Notification tone: Change the ringtone and vibration mode, such as Ring only and
•
Vibrate only.
Allow interruptions: Once enabled for an app, your device will still be able to receive
•
notifications from this app in Do Not Disturb mode.
Applying specific modes for different types of notifications: In the NOTIFICATION TYPE
•
section, touch an option (such as Service notifications) to enable or disable this type of
notification for the app. You can also set specific notification tones and notification display
methods for each type of notification.
