    (*unless required locally) Get out of the elements and ride in style. The Golf is packed with features; media center with integrated backup camera, generous top speed, long driving range, rear shock suspension, heater, fan and opening windows and more! This manual contains a wide range of general information and should be read before you operate it.
  • Page 6 Step 1 - Unboxing Unpack your Golf, remove the box by cutting along edges and peeling back the cardboard. Carefully begin with the top most pieces, unfasten the bolts in the shipping frame and remove pieces.
  • Page 7 Step 3 - Bumpers Bumpers attach to mounting plates located on either side of the body at the front and rear. Front mounts are visible just in front of the front wheels through the wheel well, rear mounts are either visible below the body or from above through the access provided before the bench is installed With assistance align the bumper below the mounting plates and line up the holes on the bumper with the holes on the mounting plate.
  • Page 8 Step 4 - Battery Installation Begin battery installation by opening the flap on the rear body that conceals the charging port and breaker. Ensure the breaker is in the off position before beginning installation. Locate the battery wires, and terminal hardware.
  • Page 9 Push back the plastic terminal cap to reveal the eyelet connector on the end of the wire. Align the eyelet with the hole in the terminal you are currently working on. Screw in one of the terminal bolts (each includes one washer and 1 spring washer) and secure.
  • Page 10 Once your batteries are correctly connected, you can secure them into place with the green t shaped battery brackets. Secure with medium bolts into the battery bracket mounts, below the large tube bench supports, see images below. Depending on the layout of wires and batteries, the brackets may be a better fit flipped with the shorter arms on the opposite side.

    To turn your scooter off, turn the key counterclockwise from the on position. You can also turn the Golf on remotely with the included fob. Press the power ( ) button twice to turn the scooter on and press the disarm ( ⚡...
  • Page 13 To slow/stop your scooter, release the throttle and squeeze brake levers. Always apply both brakes, especially when traveling at higher speeds. Please note the motor cut out function of your scooter will automatically deactivate the motor when brakes are applied to prevent motor wear. ⚠...
  • Page 14 The brake handle also features a parking brake option. Once stopped squeeze the brake lever fully and while still holding in place, press up on the small parking brake lever to rotate the catch into place. To release the parking brake simply squeeze the brake handle again to release the spring mounted catch.
  • Page 15 Console Controls: The Golf features a pair of buttons located on the left side of the console opposite the ignition switch. The button on the left controls the windshield wiper. Press the button into the up position to activate the wiper and back down to the center to turn the wiper off.

  • Page 18 ON position! Adjusting the seat There are 3 points of adjustments on the driver’s seat of the Golf. Similar to most cars the head adjusts up and down by squeezing the catch where the prong of the headrest inserts into the backrest. The handle on the left side of the seat adjusts the angle of the seat back.

    Maintenance & Care The GIO Golf requires minimal maintenance which can be performed by most users, a friend or family member, or scooter technician. Visually inspect your scooter regularly for any signs of damage, especially after any collisions or accidents.
  • Page 20 Lower speeds will provide the best performance. Tires The Golf is equipped with tubeless tires, these require less maintenance, and are less prone to flats compared to traditional tube tires. However, damage and flats are still possible. The condition of your tires not only directly affects the ability to drive your scooter but also its general performance.

    In the event your tire is unable to hold air. Check it for any cuts or punctures. In the event of a puncture the tire can be repaired at home with a basic patch kit for tubeless tires, or by a shop that repairs tires. In the event that there is a cut or greater damage to your tire(s) replacement parts are available to order, please contact your dealer of GIO customer service.
