CHARGING YOUR HEADPHONES

Your Volkano Headphones come with a partially charged battery, it is recommended that you fully charge your headphones before first use.

  1. Connect the charging cable to the Micro USB charging port and either a PC or a dedicated USB charger.
  2. While charging, the Red Light will turn on and turn off once the unit is fully charged.

warning NOTE: On average your Volkano Headphones take about 70 minutes for charging.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Power:
Turn ON/OFF by long pressing for three seconds until the unit turns on or off.

- Previous / Volume -:
In Bluetooth Mode, short pressing previous will return to the previous track on your playlist, long pressing will decrease the volume level.
In MP3 Mode, short pressing previous will return to the previous track on your playlist, long pressing will decrease the volume level. In FM Radio Mode, short pressing previous will cycle back to the previous radio station, long pressing will decrease the volume level.

Play:
In Bluetooth Mode when a call comes in, short pressing will answer the call while long pressing will reject a call. Rapidly pressing twice will redial the last dialled number.
In Bluetooth Mode short press will also PLAY / PAUSE your track.
In MP3 Mode short pressing will PLAY / PAUSE your track. In FM Mode short pressing will automatically search for a broadcasting station.

+ NEXT / Volume +:
In Bluetooth Mode short pressing will skip to the next track, while long pressing will increase the volume level.
In MP3 Mode, short pressing will skip to the next track, while long pressing will increase the volume level.
In FM Mode, short pressing will skip to the next frequency, while long pressing will increase the volume level.

LED Indicator:
In Bluetooth Mode, the Blue / Green Light will flash while the device is connecting. A Blue Light will flash slowly once the connection is established.
In MP3 Mode, the Green Light will slowly flash while playing. In FM Mode, the Green Light will stay on and flash while you are scanning for radio stations.
While charging, the Red Light will turn on and turn off once the unit is fully charged.

Connecting to Bluetooth:

  1. Short press the Power Button for three seconds to turn on the device. It will automatically be in Bluetooth Pairing Mode.
  2. The Blue/Green Light will flash while the device is pairing.
  3. Turn on the Bluetooth Connection on your phone. Search for the Headphones from the list of devices.
  4. Should you be asked for a password, please enter the Bluetooth Default Password of 0000.
  5. The Blue Light will flash twice, every 5 seconds once the unit is paired correctly.
  6. You can use your phone's media player to control your playback, or use the controls on the headphones..

MP3 Mode:

  1. Short Press the Power Button for three seconds to turn on the device.
  2. Insert your TF (Micro SD card) and the unit will begin reading from the card. Alternatively, long press the Mode Button until the headphone cycles to MP3 Mode.
  3. Control the playback using the controls on the headphones.

FM Mode:

  1. Short press the Power Button for three seconds to turn on the device.
  2. Short Press the Mode Button until you have cycled to the FM Mode.
  3. While in FM Mode, short press Play to automatically scan frequencies or radio stations, short press the Next Button to skip a station and continue searching, or Back to return to a station.
  4. Control the volume of the station using the controls on the headphones.

Line-In Mode:

  1. Short press the Power Button for three seconds to turn on the device.
  2. Short press the Mode Button until you have cycled to the AUX LINE IN mode.
  3. Connect your Aux Cable to the headphone, and the other end of the Aux Cable to the device you wish to listen to.
  4. This mode is supported on most mobile phones, tablets, music players, computers and other devices with a 3.5mm auxiliary connection.

TROUBLE SHOOTING

  1. My mobile phone cant find any new Bluetooth devices?
    1. Ensure the Device has entered the pairing mode.
    2. Ensure the Device is within effective working range.
  2. Bluetooth device can't pair up?
    1. Ensure your mobile phone allows new connections and has not reached the maximum number of allowed devices.
    2. Ensure the pairing password has been entered correctly "0000". If you are using a Bluetooth transmitter device, ensure the password is set to 0000.
  3. The Device does not play music or answer calls when it is connected to a Bluetooth mobile phone.
    1. Ensure your mobile phone supports A2DP and HSF (hands-free) profiles.
    2. Ensure your mobile phone is within effective working range.
  4. When paired with my computer, windows asks for a new driver. Can you supply this? We recommend you find compatible drivers for your computer online.
  5. Why can I not remotely control the pause, play, previous and next functions when music is playing?
    1. When you are using 3.5mm AUX connection, you can't pause, change volume or skip tracks.
    2. This feature needs the Bluetooth device paired with the speaker to support AVRCP (Audio/Video Remote Control Profile). Please ensure your device supports this.

  • The product may only be used with the parts provided by the manufacturer.
  • Never use your appliance near water or in areas where it can come into contact with water. Never handle the appliance if it was dropped into water or any other liquid. If the appliance comes into contact with water while switched off, but still plugged in, it will cause a safety hazard.
  • Always make sure your hands are dry before touching the plug or power connections.
  • Do not operate the product with a damaged cord or plug, or after it malfunctions, has been dropped, or damaged in any manner.
  • The appliance is intended for household use only. Commercial use invalidates the warranty and the supplier cannot be held responsible for injury or damage caused when using the appliance for any other purpose than that for which it is intended.
  • This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Extreme caution must be exercised.
  • Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. Packaging must never be left within reach of children, since it is potentially dangerous.
  • Store in the original box in a cool, dry place out of the reach of children.

ADDITIONAL WARNINGS

  1. Take care to avoid liquid and objects from entering the appliance through openings.
  2. Never use your appliance while in the bath, shower or in areas where it can come into contact with water.
  3. Do not listen to loud music for extended periods of time, this may damage your hearing.

CARE AND CLEANING

  • Turn the Device off when not in use or before cleaning.
  • The Casing may be cleaned by wiping with a soft, damp cloth moistened with water only. Do not use harsh abrasives or cleaners.
    Dry thoroughly with a soft cloth.

Do not dispose of electrical appliances as unsorted municipal waste, use separate collection facilities.
