Pull by the plugs rather than the cord when
disconnecting the cable. This will reduce the risk of
damage to the plugs and cord.
Make sure that the cord is located so that it will not
be stepped on, tripped over or otherwise subjected to
damage or stress.
DO NOT use a cable with a damaged cord or plugs.
Have them replaced immediately.
Foreign materials of a conductive nature, such as, but
not limited to, grinding dust, metal chips, steel wool,
aluminum foil or any buildup of metallic particles
should be kept away from the plugs and port.
Always unplug the cable from the power supply when
there is no tool attached to it.
Charging Procedure (Fig. B)
iMPORTAnT: The battery in your light is not fully charged at
the factory. Before attempting to charge the light, thoroughly
read all of the safety instructions.
Open the rubber seal
Align the charging cord
of the light and insert it.
Plug the charger into wall charger or a port of a charging
device (such as laptop).
The charging LED

charged.
The light is not packaged with a full battery charge. Let
the light charge initially for up to 4 hours.
nOTE: Recharge discharged batteries as soon as possible
after use or battery life may be greatly diminished. for
longest battery life, do not discharge batteries fully. It is
recommended that the batteries be recharged after each use.

WARNING: Fire hazard. When disconnecting the
charger from the light, be sure to unplug the charger
from the outlet first, then disconnect the charger cord
from the light.

Important Charging Notes


CAUTION: To reduce the risk of damage to the
batteries, NEVER charge them in an air temperature
below 40°F (4,5°C) or above 105°F (40,5°C). Also, NEVER
charge them if the battery temperature is below 40°F
(4,5°C) or above 105°F (40,5°C). Longest life and best
performance occurs when batteries are charged with
an air temperature of approximately 75°F (24°C).
1. While charging, the charger may hum and become warm
to touch. This is a normal condition and does not indicate
a problem.
2. The light should be recharged when it fails to produce
sufficient light while being used. Battery life may be greatly
diminished if batteries are discharged deeply. DO NOT
CONTINUE using product with its batteries in a depleted
condition. Recharge discharged batteries promptly.
3. To maximize battery life:
a. Do not fully discharge batteries.
b. Fully recharge batteries after each use.

temperature is approximately 40°F - 75°F (4.5°C - 24°C).
d. Disconnect charger from light after charge is complete.

OPERATION


CAUTION: Do not stare into the LEDs. Serious eye
injury could result.
On/Off Button (Fig. C)
1. To turn on the directional light module
power button
2. To turn the flood light on, press the power button again.

To change the flood light intensity from low to high,
press and hold the power button – after 3 seconds,
the light intensity will change. The flood light will
blink once to indicate the operation is complete.

To change the flood light intensity from high to low,
press and hold the power button – after 3 seconds,
the light intensity will change. The flood light will

blink once to indicate the operation is complete
3. To turn it off, press the power button.
nOTE: At low battery, the flood light will flash 3-5 times
every 3-5minutes.
Positioning Snake Light® (Fig. D)

WARNING: For reading and similar activities, wearing
the light over the neck with the light in a U-shape is
acceptable. Do not wrap the light around the neck to
avoid strangulation hazard.
Snake Light® allows you to position light where you need it.
Bend and twist the coil
hang or place the light where it is needed.

MAINTENANCE

Your BLACK+DECKER product has been designed to operate
over a long period of time with a minimum of maintenance.
Continuous satisfactory operation depends upon proper care
and regular cleaning.
Cleaning

WARNING: Never use solvents or other harsh
chemicals for cleaning the non-metallic parts of the
tool. These chemicals may weaken the plastic materials
used in these parts. Use a cloth dampened only with
water and mild soap. Never let any liquid get inside the
tool; never immerse any part of the tool into a liquid.
Accessories

WARNING: Since accessories, other than those offered
by BLACK+DECKER, have not been tested with this
product, use of such accessories with this product
could be hazardous. To reduce the risk of injury, only
BLACK+DECKER recommended accessories should be
used with this product.
