NORTH AMERICAN MODELS WITH POLARIZED PLUGS

POLARIZED PLUG
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to modify the plug in any way. If the plug fits loosely into the AC outlet or if the AC outlet feels warm do not use that outlet.

POWER CORD INSTRUCTIONS

  1. A short power-supply cord (or detachable power-supply cord) is provided to reduce the risk resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.
  2. Longer detachable power-supply cords or extension cords are available and may be used if care is exercised in their use.
  3. If a longer detachable power-supply cord or extension cord is used:
    1. The marked electrical rating of the cord set or extension cord should be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance;
    2. The cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over unintentionally; and
    3. If the appliance is of the grounded type, the cord set or extension cord should be a grounding-type 3-wire cord.

NOTICES:

  1. Some countertop and table surfaces are not designed to withstand the prolonged heat generated by certain appliances. Do not set the heated unit on a finished wood table. We recommend placing a hot pad or trivet under your Lunch CrockTM to prevent possible damage to the surface.
  2. During initial use of this appliance, some slight smoke and/or odor may be detected. This is normal with many heating appliances and will not recur after a few uses.

Device Overview

HOW TO USE YOUR LUNCH CROCK™ FOOD WARMER

Before you use your Lunch Crock™ Food Warmer, remove all packaging components and wash the lids and removable food container with warm soapy water and dry thoroughly. Never submerge the warming base in water and always unplug before cleaning.

NOTE: The unit is not designed for use with uncooked food. If a recipe calls for uncooked meats, it should be fully cooked before combining with other ingredients and heating it in the unit.

  1. Fill the removable food container with desired food and place the food container lid on. The capacity of the inner vessel is 20 ounces. Do not overfill.
NOTE: Ensure steam vent is pushed down to avoid spills or leakage. (See Figure 1)
  2. Place the removable food container inside the warming base, by aligning food container slot with anti-rotating pin. Twist the outer lid securely on warming base.
NOTE: The food container lid and outer lid do not need to be secured while the unit is heating and warming the food, but is recommended to avoid spilling and to ensure the quickest heating time.
  3. Plug in your Lunch Crock™ Food Warmer well in advance to desired mealtime so that Lunch is ready when you are. Unwrap power cord from the bottom of the unit and plug into an outlet. The power indicator light will turn on and the unit will automatically begin to heat up the food.
NOTE: Unit will not automatically turn off and will continue to warm unless it is unplugged.
  4. Your Lunch Crock™ Food Warmer is not meant to warm foods rapidly. Heat times will vary depending on the type of food being warmed and the starting temperature of the food. Stirring will help to speed up the time it takes to heat the food.
  5. Once your food has reached the desired temperature, unplug the unit and pull up on the steam vent to release hot air before opening (See Figure 2). Now you can enjoy your lunch right out of the Lunch Crock™ Food Warmer.

HOW TO USE YOUR LUNCH CROCK™
