Mimosa C5 - 5 GHz Integrated Client Device Manual


This device requires unlocking prior to use. For all unlocking instructions and options, prior to on-site installation, please go to mimosa.co/start.

Power Requirements

This device accepts +/- 48VDC complying with 802.3at (PoE+), and supports all Mimosa Gigabit PoE devices.

Included Items

C5 device, Ethernet cable gland, stainless steel pole clamp, and silicon dielectric gel packet.

Required Items

  • Any Mimosa Gigabit PoE device.
  • Mimosa FlexiMount or Mimosa J-Mount for optimal device aiming.
  • Minimum 10 AWG (5.26 mm2) ground cable.
  • Mimosa Gigabit NID.
  • Phillips head screwdriver.

Mount

Attach the device to your preferred mount using the included pipe clamp.

Ground

  1. Attach ground wire (not included) to integrated grounding screw point.
  2. Install the Mimosa Gigabit NID at the premises entry point for Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) protection.

To prevent device damage, avoid ground voltage potential difference between the device ground and the Gigabit NID.

Connect

Connect

  1. Push unterminated shielded CAT6/6A Ethernet cable through the hole in the bottom of the gland.
    Then crimp the RJ45 connector to the cable.
  2. Apply a bead of dielectric silicone to Ethernet pins, the cable entry area and top ridge of the gland.
    Connect the Ethernet cable and press the gland onto the device's plastic retaining clips.
