Operation Tips 1 . The 5922 is a cathode biased Class A amplifier. This style of amplifier responds really well to the position of the master volume control. The amplifier can obtain many different tones by controlling the master volume. As with most Class A amplifiers the amplifier's tone greatly opens up with the master volume turned up to 1 2 o'clock and beyond.
