How to Start:
1. Unpack the RioVolt and all of its components.
2. Plug the AC Adapter (included) into the Power
Port
OR
Remove the Battery Door and insert 2 AA
Alkaline batteries (included) and replace the
Battery Door.
3. Plug the 8 Function Remote Control into the
Headphones & Remote Port.
4. Plug the Headphones into the Remote Control.
5. Slide Release Latch to open the RioVolt.
6. Insert a music or digital audio CD into the RioVolt.
7. Snap lid shut.
8. Press and hold the Play/Pause button on the
Joypad to turn the RioVolt on.
NOTE: If the RioVolt display does not light up
and the unit demonstrates no activity, check
the Hold Switch on the RioVolt and on the
Remote Control to make sure they are in the
OFF position.
Important Hints:
The Battery Indicator will appear in the upper
•
corner of the display when battery life has
diminished to approximately 20 percent or less.
• As your RioVolt is firmware upgradeable, you
should occasionally check our website at
www.riohome.com for upgrades to both the
firmware and your RioVolt User Guide.
• For more indepth information on the features and
usage of your new RioVolt, be sure to check the
electronic RioVolt User Guide available on the
RioVolt Installation CD.

Press the Joypad to make changes and selections.
Fast Forward
Next Menu/Select
Rewind
Go Back/Exit
Play/Pause Toggles options (
On/Off, 1x/2x, etc.
Stop Escape Menu Mode.
1. RESUME - When enabled, return to the same
settings, file, and time (on same CD) after
stopping or powering off RioVolt.
2. SPEED SCAN - Controls the speed at which
you can scan through directories. (
3. BEEP control - When enabled, pushing certain
buttons will produce audible beeps.
4. LIGHT control (backlight) - Controls whether
the backlight remains on or turns off when
connected to an external power adapter.
5. EXT control - Controls whether file extensions
( ) are displayed.

6. TAG control - Controls whether ID3 tag
information is displayed.
