SAFETY
- By ignoring the safety instructions the manufacturer can not be hold responsible for the damage.
- If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
- Never move the appliance by pulling the cord and make sure the cord can not become entangled.
- The appliance must be placed on a stable, level surface.
- The user must not leave the device unattended while it is connected to the supply.
- This appliance is only to be used for household purposes and only for the purpose it is made for.
- This appliance shall not be used by children aged less than 8 years. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children aged less than 8 years. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless older than 8 and supervised.
- To protect yourself against an electric shock, do not immerse the cord, plug or appliance in the water or any other liquid.

BEFORE THE FIRST USE
- Take the appliance and accessories out the box. Remove the stickers, protective foil or plastic from the device.
- Place the device on a flat stable surface and ensure a minimum of 10 cm. free space around the device. This device is not suitable for installation in a cabinet or for outside use.
- Put the power cable into the socket. (Note: Make sure the voltage which is indicated on the device matches the local voltage before connecting the device. Voltage 220V-240V 50/60Hz)
- When the device is turned on for the first time, a slight odour will occur. This is normal, ensure adequate ventilation. This fragrance is only temporary and will disappear soon.
- Place the device in a well ventilated space.
USE
Making waffles
- Prepare the waffle batter. You can use your own recipe or the recipe you will find further in this instruction manual.
- Insert the plug into the socket. The red indication light will light up to indicate that the device is switched on. Leave the device closed without any content to preheat.
- The green indicator light will illuminate as soon as the device has reached the desired temperature, to indicate that the device is ready for use.
- Open the lid and pour some of the waffle batter onto the middle of the baking plate.
- Take care: in case you use too much batter, some batter may flow out of the device. Leave the batter at least 2 cm away from the sides.
- Close the cover.
- Wait about 2-3 minutes until the waffle is dry and evenly baked.
- Open the cover.
- Remove the waffle from the baking plate with a heat resistant nylon or wooden utensil.
- Take care: never use any metal utensils on the baking plates as they can damage the non-stick coating.
Making waffle cones
- Follow up the instructions in 'Making waffles'.
- Leave the waffle on the baking plate and place the accessory for waffle cones on the waffle. Roll the waffle around the cone accessory.
- Take care: the waffle and the baking plates are hot! Use a heat resistant nylon or wooden utensil or use oven gloves.
- Leave the waffle cone on the accessory to dry.
Making waffle trays
- Follow up the instructions in 'Making waffles'.
- Fold the waffle over a glass or cup.
- Take care: the waffle and the baking plates are hot! Use a heat resistant nylon or wooden utensil or use oven gloves.
- Leave the waffle tray on the glass to dry.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
- Remove the plug from the wall outlet and allow the device to cool both halves open.
- Clean the baking plates with a damp cloth or soft brush.
- Clean the appliance with a damp cloth. Never use harsh and abrasive cleaners, scouring pad or steel wool, which damages the device.
- Never immerse the electrical device in water or any other liquid. The device is not dishwasher proof.
RECIPE
- 250 grams sugar
- 350 ml of lukewarm water
- 500 grams flour
- 1 knife point of cinnamon
- 2 eggs
- Make a creamy batter of the butter, sugar and eggs.
- While stirring, add the other ingredients slowly until the whole has become a smooth and slightly thick batter.
