The T-Ray® 5000 Control Unit must only be serviced by Authorized service personnel. Do not open the enclosure to repair or adjust the unit. Do not disconnect any internal fiber optics, remove or alter any internal optical shielding. Operating the unit with the enclosure open may expose the user to direct or reflected laser light sufficiently intense to cause serious injury to eyes, and burn skin.

2.2 ELECTRICAL SAFETY Before switching on this instrument, make certain the control unit has been properly grounded through the protective conductor of the AC power cable to a socket outlet provided with protective earth contact. Any interruption of the protective conductor (grounding), inside or outside the instrument, or disconnection of the protective earth terminal can result in personal injury.
2.2.2 POWER SOURCE The T-Ray® 5000 Control Unit operates from power sources that will not apply more than 240 V between supply conductors or ground. A protective ground connection, through the grounding conductor in the power cord, is essential for safe system operation. The allowed power input parameters are presented in Table 1.

4.5 DIGITAL INPUTS AND OUTPUTS 4.5.1 DIGITAL INPUTS All TCU 5600 TCUs have 16 Digital Inputs available for communication with equipment. 4.6 UMBILICAL CONNECTION The umbilical connection(s) for Luna Innovations accessories require one fiber optic cable and one electrical connector per channel. The TCU56yz supports two channels. The two SC/APC fiber bulkhead connectors are marked Channel 1 and Channel 2. Do not connect a fiber optic connector without following the proper cleaning procedures, described in the T-Ray®...
This adjustment is usually not required. Incorrect adjustment degrades the system performance, and they should not be touched unless specifically instructed to do so by Luna Innovations service personnel. The adjustments are internal and covered with plugs.
